Construction of Concrete Reservoirs

Newground Projects acted as the Health & Safety Agent on behalf of the client, Amatola Water. The project entailed the construction of new reinforced concrete reservoirs. The sizes of the reservoirs are 30Mℓ (58m Ø by 12m high) and 6Mℓ (37m Ø by 6.5m height). Major plants were required for the construction of the reservoirs such as a tower crane and excavators. Blasting operations were also conducted. The contractor performed exceptionally well with regards to health and safety and the project was successfully completed without any incidents.
